All the designs are different, there are always new elements to incorporate. Once the design is established and the basis of the threads is chosen, the threads are put on the loom.
Each one of the vertical threads that the piece counts out, is passed by the centime and by the comb, which will direct the movements of the threads in their path towards a unit. Finally they are knotted on the other side.
When the loom is completely assembled, the process of weaving starts, pass by pass.
Each pice is taken out with care of the loom and it is checked out that it is perfect.
Most part of threads come from a small factory located in the North of Italy that works with natural fibres. Anyway, some of the pieces have been woven with fibres and details brought from some journeys that I have made.
